CAMILLE TE NAHU – Camille Te Nahu
CAMILLE TE NAHU – Independent
Camille, since arriving from her NZ homeland, has been building a reputation as a backing singer, appearing on albums by Beccy Cole, Gina Jeffreys and Karen O’Shea (see review elsewhere in CapNews) to name but a few, so it’s great to get this insight into her own music. The selection of music is very "late night". Acoustic, laid back arrangements of some familiar and some not so familiar songs like Snowbird, I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry (produced by Audrey Auld), You Don’t Know Me, Kevin Bennett’s Don’t Look Back At Me and This Masquerade. Produced mainly by Stuie French of the Feral Swing Katz, it’s a showcase for Camille’s uncomplicated vocal style. In all 12 songs that are her favourites, songs that in the main, she has been singing since she was 6 or 7 years old. Independent RON ADSETT
