BUDDY JEWEL
BUDDY JEWEL
Buddy had a very public start with his career as winner of the Nashville Star contest, a huge talent quest. He's proven to be a solid act since then, with his debut album hitting the number one slot on the Country chart and top 20 of the pop chart, but don't think this is anything but a really solid country album. Produced by CLINT BLACK who also lends a touch of harmonica here and there it's right in the Clint and AJ style of traditional music, somewhat against the trend from Music Row right now (if there is a trend). The monster single form the album is the touching Help Pour Out The Rain (Lacey's Song) written by Buddy, and is already familiar to many radio listeners around the country. There's also a delightful duet with other new comer Miranda Lambert on the Haggard Today I Started Loving You Again with a new Clint Black song and a couple of his own songs included. I think this boy has a decent future if he can survive the Nashville tread mill. Recommended. SONY/COLUMBIA CK90131 RON ADSETT
