TOYOTA STAR MAKER CELEBRATES 25th ANNIVERARY
In addition Rural Press Events, the Star Maker organiser (and publishers of Capital News), has announced a special Toyota Star Maker 25th Anniversary concert will be held at TREC the night before, Saturday January 17. Previous Star Maker winners and finalists have been invited to join the party-like concert for what Star Maker executive producer Barry Harley describes as a night to remember. "You’ve got to consider that not only have we celebrated 24 winners so far, but there have been just over 440 different acts involved in the Finals and Grand Finals since we began in 1979. "Quite a few of these winners and finalists will be performing on the night," he said. "Invitations have been extended and we already had a number of enthusiastic responses including BRENDON WAMSLEY, LYN BOWTELL and KATE BALLANTYNE." Holding the birthday party the night before will lead quite naturally into the main event on Sunday. Full details will be announced prior tickets going on sale 1 December. Entries for Toyota Star Maker 2004 will be accepted from August 1 from solo performers who are 18 years (or older) and professionally involved in country music. Phone Rural Press Events 02 67 622 399 or e-mail capitalnews@ruralpress.com. Entries close 31 October.
