AMONG THE LAKES AND CRATERS
IAN ‘BIDGE’ BOYD chose perfectly when he selected STUIE FRENCH to produce his brand new album Among The Lakes And Craters. What a delightful blend of soft warm vocals and sparkling instrumental backing. Add CAMILLE TE NAHU’s impeccable honeyed backing vocals and some very fine song choices and you have a very enjoyable album. The title track Among The Lakes And Craters, written by Ian, reminisces about the land changing over time. The rest of the tracks are delightful, and not overused covers such as STEVE WARINER’s delightful Two Teardrops and I Just Do, VINCE GILL’s I’ll Take Texas and ROGER MILLER’s Train Of Life. Naturally, the backing is full of easy swinging freshness. Too Many Pockets will surely get your toes itching to dance. The Cowboy Rides Away is very beautifully done. If you didn’t know who Ian ‘Bidge’ Boyd was before you heard this album, you will be glad to make his acquaintance. Independent IB002 Available from
