NANCY-LEE’s delicate vocals were made for love songs, and her new album On Wings Of Love is an anthology of some of the best. The album is dedicated to Nancy-Lee’s late husband Jack. St Theresa Of The Roses was one of his favourites and Nancy-Lee sings it with heart. Nancy-Lee has chosen fifteen classic covers to supplement the five originals – four by Nancy-Lee and one written and performed by her son Darren Monk. His I’ll Send You Butterflies shows that talent runs in the family. Nancy-Lee’s charming My Butterfly and You Gave Me A Yellow Rose Today are songs that transcend death and loss. Let Me Shine In Your Light is a toe-tapping gospel crossover. Little Bird tells of hope through darkness. The backing by producer STEVE SPARROW has a sweet gracefulness that showcases Nancy-Lee’s vocals to perfection. This album is beyond beautiful; filled with tracks so precious they can bring a smile and a little tear.
