BACK TO THE MAC – IIIrd Time Out
IIIRD TIME OUT – Rounder Shock
The band has had the same lineup now for the past 6 years and features Russell Moore (guitar and vocals), Ray Deaton (bass), Steve Dilling (banjo, guitar and vocals), Wayne Benson (mandolin and vocals), and Mike Hartgrove (fiddle). The singing is powerful and traditional with the high clear tones of Russell Moore leading the vocals. Steve Dilling’s solid driving banjo keeps the ship rock steady and the band excels on all tracks with the high energy that has always been their trade mark. Best tracks are hard to pick but I like Come Back To Me In My Dreams, Medals For Mothers, Drifting Too Far From The Shore and I’ll Stay Around. Needless to say all tracks are excellent. Certainly a must for all bluegrass fans. TREV WARNER
