This first album from the pretty young blonde performer from Queensland CASEY WATT has announced in bold letters that a new kid is in town. Casey has teamed up with producer BRENDAN RADFORD to create Lead You Astray. With warm and sultry tones, Casey croons her way through twelve stunning tracks, writing or co-writing half of them. Her first single I Don’t Want To Work This Hard is not one of hers, coming from the pen of Nashville’s D. Scott Miller. It is a strong declaration of independence. Casey and Brendan duet on the EMMYLOU HARRIS classic If I Needed You. The JENNY MORRIS track You’re Gonna Get Hurt crosses the line from pop to country. Several songs have a smoky barroom feel, like the title track Lead You Astray, but even on the more standard tracks, such as My Heart’s Always Calling Me Home, Casey’s warm voice is like chocolate, delicious and addictive.
