Calling all country music artists...
One of the longest-standing Tamworth Festival sponsors – Coca-Cola – are set to celebrate 32 years involvement this January preparing for its well-known and highly popular FREE Coca-Cola Concerts in the Park.
"Dust off the guitar, don the hat and drag on the boots, country music's most celebrated event of the year, the Tamworth Country Music Festival, is almost here,” as Barry Harley, General Manager of Rural Press Events says. “We’re calling all musicians looking for an opportunity to walk-up and perform at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in the famed free Coca-Cola Concerts. “We’re hoping we can continue enticing Festival goers in 2010 with the exciting entertainment on offer in Coca-Cola Park, for musicians and country music fans alike,” said Barry. In 2010 the Coca-Cola Concerts in the Park will be staged from Saturday, January 16th to Saturday, January 23rd in Coca-Cola Park (also known as Hands of Fame Park) which is located in the centre of Tamworth.
The ‘walk-up’ concerts commence 10am daily and run through the day until 3pm, supported by the accomplished Alwyn Aurish Band and compered by the talented Mal Winckle. The concerts are then followed by the Coca-Cola Battle of the Bands from 3pm to 5pm with a number of twilight concerts scheduled from 7pm nightly.
If you are keen to ‘give it a go’ and perform on stage at the Coca-Cola Concerts in the Park please contact the organisers Rural Press Events on 02 6768 5800 for an artist application or...
